Ⅰ. Notice on the Reissue of Train Ticket Discount Cards for Undergraduates
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Railways, matters concerning the recharge and replacement of the train ticket discount card for sophomores, juniors, and seniors are now notified as follows.
1. The discount card records the number of times a student can purchase and have purchased tickets. Students can only purchase preferential tickets four times a year. When using the discount card, it is strictly prohibited to carry other non-contact IC cards (such as second-generation ID cards) or metal cards in the student ID card.
2. The discount card must be pasted on the inner page of the student ID card for use. Do not take it off after pasting. Please avoid a large bending or folding angle; avoid pressing the chip of the discount card with heavy external force and avoid soaking the discount card in water or keeping the card in a damp place for a long time, otherwise it will be damaged.
3. After the implementation of the real-name ticketing, the number of tickets purchased by students will be recorded in the railway ticketing system through their identity card numbers. Therefore, regardless of whether the discount card still has available ticket purchasing times (even for a new card), each student can buy preferential tickets no more than four times per year.
4. Students who need to transfer home should purchase a joint-way ticket at the place of departure, or apply for a transit visa at the transfer station after purchasing a through ticket at the place of departure. Otherwise, purchasing tickets half way will cause the number of times a student can purchase tickets in the discount card reduced once again.
5. When students buy tickets online, the train boarding sections filled in must be the same as those recorded on the student ID card, otherwise the ticket window will not process the ticket, and students will not be able to get in and board the train.
6. All the trip tickets from home to school can be purchased. Students can buy a hard seat at half price, and the discount for a hard sleeper is the same as that for a hard seat ticket on the same train. Students can also enjoy a 25% discount on the full fare of a EMU second-class seat. Other seats have no discount.
7. Students who have discount cards should keep their student ID cards and discount cards properly. According to the provisions of the Ministry of Railways, the discount card can only be purchased and reissued once a year. If anyone lost or damage his or her discount card, he or she should purchase the discount card together with next year's freshmen and cannot process it halfway.
8. Students who need to replace the train ticket discount card should take their student ID cards at from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the working days from December 3 to December 30 and go to the designated places (No. 3 window of Student Affairs Service Center in Yuehai campus and No.2 window of Comprehensive Service Hall in Lihu campus) for processing. The card issuing fee is seven yuan (purchase price).
Ⅱ. Notice on Class of 2020 Undergraduate Freshmen Logging in CHSI Website to Inquire about Student Status Registration Information
Colleges and class of 2020 full-time undergraduate freshmen,
Our school has completed the electronic registration work of class of 2020 full-time undergraduate freshmen on the CHSI website. China Higher Education Student Information (CHSI) website of the Ministry of Education has now opened the student status inquiry system, providing class of 2020 freshmen with the service of inquiring the results of student status electronic registration.
1. Significance of Electronic Registration of Student Status
Since 2001, the Ministry of Education has set up an electronic registration system of certificates of general higher education, requiring national colleges and universities to help graduates with academic degrees register electronically and offer online qualification certificate verification. In 2005, the Ministry of Education launched a student enrollment and status information management platform. For a student admitted without being verified and approved by the provincial admission office, colleges and universities cannot register his or her electronic student status on the CHSI website, and students without enrollment certification cannot obtain academic certificates. Only the diplomas of graduates who have information about their academic status in the student enrollment and status information management platform can be recognized by the state and can be verified on the China Higher Education Student Information (CHSI) website for academic certification registration, inquiries and verification. Therefore, the accuracy of the electronic registration information is closely related to whether the student’s academic status and certificates can be authenticated online and whether he or she can be admitted and employed smoothly in the future. Each college should supervise and urge students admitted in 2020 to log in to the CHSI website and check the electronic registration information of his or her student status.
2. The Enrollment Registration, Admission Qualification Review and Electronic Registration of Student Status of Class of 2020 Freshmen on the CHSI Website
The school strictly implements the registration procedures for new students as stipulated in documents such as Instructions for Freshmen Enrollment and Notice on Orientation Work Arrangements in 2020; the School Hospital organizes physical examination review; and the Household Registration Office of the Security Department compares and verifies many materials like registration certificate for household relocation, admission letter, identification card, admission category, etc. Each college works with joint efforts to verify students who did not come to register, and so as to prevent new students who have arrived at the school from being canceled by mistake.
For students who have registered, the school is conducting a review of admission qualifications to prevent impostors from going to school. The college assigns designated personnel divided into two levels to confirm whether the new students’ electronic photos of college entrance examination registration and the photos on the ID cards match the students themselves. The admission office organizes students for portrait comparison, and organizes relevant personnel to check and compare many materials like the new students’ admission letter needed in the enrollment registration, ID card, registration certificate for household relocation, and qualification certificates for bonus points in the college entrance examination with their paper files, admission category, and electronic files one by one so as to implement the "Six Comparisons" to prevent impostors from going to school; while for students who major in or have exceptional ability in arts and sports, the admission office will organize admission professional retests.
Freshmen enlisted in the army shall be labeled with "reserved admission qualifications" and for those who have not come to register, they shall be labeled as "renunciation of admission". For registered students, those who have passed the review of admission qualifications shall be marked as "registered student status".
There are 181 students in class of 2020 in our school that lack admission data on the CHSI website, of which 130 students have come to the school to register. These 130 students who have already arrived at school do not need to register an account on the CHSI website to check their student status. And the list can be seen in the attachment. After the competent department reviews the admission qualifications and uploads the admission data to the CHSI website, the school will then complete electronic registration for these 130 students on the website. We will update the attached list in due course. If the student's candidate number is not included in the attachment, it means that the school has completed the electronic registration on the CHSI website for that student.

As stipulated in the enrollment documents and the electronic registration of new students' student status, students are not allowed to transfer during the enrollment period and can only register according to the admission major. The professional changes can only be registered to the CHSI website in the next semester. Freshmen who are enrolled by major categories or selected within the school can only register according to the admission major; students need to register the major after being admitted, and the professional information can only be registered once in principle.
